4.2.3.3 Companion specifications

Typically, an OPC UA companion specification for an industry specific vertical market describes an Information Model by defining ObjectTypes, VariableTypes, DataTypes and ReferenceTypes that represent the concepts used in the vertical market. The Cloud Library Companion Specification is one that proposes new capabilities to serve libraries of NameSpaces to other OPC UA Servers.
