The MCSTypeis the representation of a Main Control Systemand provides both Objectsfor Quantitiesand FunctionalGroups. Itis illustrated in Figure 21and formally defined in Table 21.

The optional FunctionalGroupAnalyses provides Objectsand Methods for analyses that can be invoked on the Main Control System.
The optionalFunctionalGroupConfiguration provides Objectsand Methods for configuring the behavior of the Main Control System.
The optional ObjectElectricalCircuit provides Quantitiesfor the electrical input of the Main Control System.
The optional FunctionalGroupEvents provides Objectsfor alarms and conditions of the Main Control System. Of the available optional Objectsin the EventsType, only Service and Warning are instantiated.
The mandatoryFunctionalGroupIdentification provides Propertiesto identify the Main Control System. The optional Variable DeviceClass has its ModellingRulechanged to mandatory and its Value Attributeset to a specific value.
The optionalFunctionalGroupOperational provides Variablesfor process data used during normal operation of the Main Control System, such as measurements, efficiencies, and states.
The optional FunctionalGroupStatistics provides Variablesfor statistical applications of the Main Control System, such as counters.
The InstanceDeclarationsof the MCSTypehave additional Attributesdefined in Table 22.
